Pretty is all the world wants
Pretty feelings that sparkle and pop
That tickles that sweet spot and makes you feel pink
Makes you complacent, hides the gray
The ugly sweater, not the loud ones
Although they can be loud in their own, violent way
The ones that may have been donated once or twice
The failed experiments, the ones made to be
Ugly, so the bottom of the well could be deeper
Deep enough for at least part of the town to drink
Not enough for showers, but damn well enough for alcohol
